WhoTookIt™ Terms of Service
WhoTookIt is an app from Allied Inc ("we", "us") that groups use to keep track of shared items and who has borrowed them. By creating an account or using WhoTookIt you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.
Your account and groups
You are responsible for your account and for what you add to your groups. A group's owners decide who joins it. Please add only items and information you are entitled to share, and don't use WhoTookIt to break the law or harm others.
Plans
WhoTookIt has three plans: Free, Premium and Enterprise. Each plan sets how many items and people a group can have and how many AI photo reads, value estimates and text messages it can use each month. Premium is bought for a single group; Enterprise is bought for an organization of up to five groups, which share the monthly AI photo reads, value estimates and text messages. The current limits and prices are shown in the app before you buy. Prices are in US dollars.
The AI features (identifying items from photos, reading labels, writing descriptions and estimating value) can be wrong. A value estimate is a rough guide, not an appraisal.
Paying and renewal
Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through our payment provider Stripe. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We never see or store your card number. Any taxes that apply are added at checkout.
We may change prices. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a change affects your next renewal, and you can cancel before then.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time under Settings → Plan → Manage billing on www.whotookit.com. Your plan then stays in place until the end of the period you have paid for, and does not renew. After that your group moves to the Free plan: nothing is deleted, but a group that is over the Free limits cannot add more items or people until it is back within them or upgrades again.
Refunds
14-day refund window. You can ask for a full refund of any subscription charge, whether it is your first payment or a renewal, monthly or yearly, within 14 days of the charge. Contact us at the address below and we will refund it to the card you paid with and, if you ask, cancel the subscription at the same time. The group then moves to the Free plan (see Cancelling).
After 14 days, a payment for a period that has already started is not refunded, and cancelling stops the next renewal but does not return the current period. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right is not affected.
Extra packs
If a group uses up its monthly AI photo reads, value estimates or text messages, its owners can buy a pack of more. There is also a pack of quick appraisals, which lets anyone in the group find out what something is worth from photos without adding it to the group's items. A pack is a one-time purchase for the group (or organization) that bought it. Pack credits do not expire and are used only after the month's included amount is used up. A pack can also be refunded within 14 days of purchase if none of its credits have been used; after any credit is used it is not refundable.
Stopping the service
You can stop using WhoTookIt at any time and ask us to delete your information. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk.
No warranty and limits on liability
WhoTookIt is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and your information safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of errors, and we are not responsible for items that are lost, damaged or not returned between the people in a group. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.
Changes
If we change these terms, we will update the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell users in the app or by email.
