WhoTookIt™ keeps track of the things a group shares - tools, books, camping gear - and who has borrowed them.
Who it's for
Households, tool clubs, teams and other small groups whose members lend things to each other. Each group has its own private inventory that only its members can see.
What it does
- Add items quickly - photograph an item, scan its barcode or read its label, and the app fills in the details.
- Track loans - record who borrowed what, where it went and when it's due back.
- Know where things are - every member has a Home, and the group can have shared places like a tool shed.
- Stay informed - optional notifications when someone borrows or returns your things, and reminders when something you borrowed is due.
Open WhoTookIt
www.whotookit.com - use WhoTookIt in your web browser on Windows, Mac, iPhone or Android. You can install it like an app: in Edge or Chrome choose Install; on an iPhone, open it in Safari and choose Share → Add to Home Screen. Step-by-step instructions with pictures.
Joining a group
WhoTookIt is currently available to invited groups. A member of a group shares an invite code; you sign in with your email address and enter the code to join.
Notifications
WhoTookIt can send email and, for members who opt in, text messages about items you lend and borrow. Each person chooses what they receive in the app under Settings. Text messages are only sent to people who turn them on themselves - see the Text Messaging Terms.
Privacy
Your group's information is visible only to your group's members. Read the WhoTookIt Privacy Policy.
